Recently, the District Election Officer visited the Wave City area to check the feasibility of opening a new polling station. Earlier, Sh. Jeevan Pant, a resident of Wave City, had initiated a proposal to open a polling station because the residents of Wave City were included in around 11 different lists.
These 11 lists were separated across 5 polling stations, all far from the Wave City area. The Election Commission understood the situation and set up a team of District Election Officers, including residents.
Finally, in August 2024, the District Election Officer visited the area and decided to open a new polling station in Ch. Chhabil Das School. During the visit, Sh. Jeevan Pant, Sh. Pravesh Varshney, and Sh. Santosh Rathore was present with the team.
Now, the Election Office has issued polling station number 509 for the Wave City area. Chhabil Das School will now be the polling station for all Wave City residents.
